2018年12月28日午後0時5分ごろ、高岡市末広町のあいの風とやま鉄道高岡駅前の歩行者用地下道に、軽トラックが進入する事件がありました。
運転していたのは、砺波市の無職男性（88）の方で、行き止まりで停車するまで約50メートル走行したといいます。
幸いにもけが人はおらず、男性は「地下駐車場の入り口と勘違いした。孫を迎えに行くところだった」と説明しました。
